Strings

Posted by admin on Oct 17 2008 |

We are no longer stocking strings due to the increase in factory prices, carriage costs and unfavourable exchange rates for the US and Italian made strings we stocked in the past.

We recommend purchasing from:

www.stringthis.com

This is not a paid link or an affiliate link – it’s simply the best service and price combination I have found for strings. I am currently playing their Martin FX (thin round core wire) special Light-Medium 12.5-55 gauge phosphor bronze set and these uncoated strings are lasting well. At $2.99 a set, I guess it would be easy for me to buy these in and resell them for more like $10.

But I would prefer our Troubadour customers to have the same access to this excellent international source of strings (they have been our suppliers for bulk loose strings for restringing instruments for a few years now).

    Hi David,
I was wondering if you are still selling the excellent Newtone replacement strings for the Troubadour Gervaise Mandola I bought from you some years ago ?
    Thanks,
    Kevin.

Sorry, right now we don’t have Newtones (or any mandola strings) in stock. This may change and we may order Newtones again.
